One of Queer Eye's fan favourites has sadly passed away aged just 63-years-old.
Tom Jackson, 63, first warmed the hearts of viewers after appearing in the reboot series' first season alongside the Fab Five; Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France and Karamo Brown.
Tom's Queer Eye transformation was initially aired on Netflix back in 2018 in the first-ever episode of the rebooted series.
The episode that he starred in was titled 'You Can't Fix Ugly' in which the group put their skills to work to transform 'a lonely dump-truck driver with a big ol' heart'.
Focusing on helping with his self-esteem and body confidence, the episode followed Tom as he goes from 'ugly to unbelievable' and learns how to reverse years of bad habits.
One of the most notable moments was the Fab 5 helping Tom successfully make amends with his ex-wife, Abby Parr.
The pair ended up getting engaged and married for a second time just months after the episode was released, however, they later divorced again in 2019.
An online obituary, written by his family, officially confirmed that he died on Friday of last week (3 March) after losing his battle with cancer.
It reads: "Thomas Leon Jackson, age 63, of Kennesaw, Georgia left this earth bound for Heaven on March 3 at 11:49 pm after losing his battle with metastatic adenocarcinoma.
"A highlight of Tom's life was being cast on the Netflix show, Queer Eye. He enjoyed the notoriety and shared his experience with whoever would listen!
"In lieu of flowers, please watch season 1, episode 1 of Queer Eye on Netflix and tell others about it in honor of Tom.
"We will never forget our beloved Tom. He brought joy, humor, persistence, and love to our family. He is special to us, and we look forward to seeing him again one day."
The official Queer Eye Instagram account shared a tribute to Tom, writing: "It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a member of our Queer Eye family.
"Rest in peace, Tom Jackson."
Members of the Fab 5 also shared their reactions to the incredibly sad news, with fashion designer, Tan, commenting: "Such incredibly sad news."
And Bobby, the interior designer who spruced up Tom's home, wrote: "RIP Tom. Having a Redneck Margarita in your honor."
Jonathan, who was Tom's grooming consultant, also expressed his condolences: "RIP Tom," followed by a red heart emoji.
