YouTuber Scott Wozniak has revealed the 'awesome' discovery he made after buying an old iPhone off eBay.

The iPhone 16 may've just come out and matching the price point of several models before it, however, amid a cost of living crisis, it's not a surprise some are purchasing cheaper and older models off sites such as eBay.

And it's just as well YouTuber Scott the Woz did because he got a whole lot more than just an old iPhone, as the phone revealed an 'insane' surprise relating to a celebrity buried inside.

Wozniak - who runs 'comedic video game centric variety show' Scott the Woz on YouTube with over one million subscribers on the platform - took to his Twitter account to reveal what happened when he purchased an old iPhone off the internet.

The caption: "I bought an old iPhone on eBay and its last owner knew Jason Momoa."

Indeed, the four images Wozniak shared to his Twitter reveal a contact in the old iPhone called 'Jason Mamoa' - close enough - although, unfortunately for fans of the Game of Thrones star, the YouTuber has been thoughtfully enough to block out a view of the number with his thumb.

The three other images show photographs taken with Momoa posing in all of them, two of which he's sticking his tongue out at the camera.

And it's not taken long for people to flood to social media to weigh in.

One Twitter user said: "Just thinking of the chances of getting this is slim to nothing. This is insane."

"Holy that's awesome," another commented, while a third wrote: "Treasure,"

"Wait, WHAT?!" a fourth added.

And a fifth resolved: "This is the most random thing I think I will ever see on Twitter this month."

In the pictures, Momoa can be seen sporting a similar expression he pulled when spotted moshing at a Metallica concert in Los Angeles back in 2023.

The star of the upcoming Minecraft movie was recorded rocking out in a mosh pit with other fans - a clip which very quickly went viral on TikTok - and the actor himself later shared images to his Instagram from the gig.

Momoa was meant to go to the gig with friend, Travis Snyder, but unfortunately Snyder couldn't make it as a result of undergoing cancer treatment at the time, so Momoa video called him from inside the event with the band so Synder could still meet his heroes.
