Taryn Manning has issued an apology after sharing an odd video about engaging in a sexual relationship with a married man.

The 44-year-old actor, who is best known for playing Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' Doggett in Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black, posted a now-deleted video that included graphic descriptions of sexual acts.

In the clip she shared the clip on TikTok, which has since been deleted from the app, she said she had been ‘l*****g his b******e because he liked it’ and expressed her desire to buy him a boat because she loved him. Her speech is slurred in the clip.

Amid the backlash from the post, Manning has admitted she is dealing with ‘a lot of guilt’ after sharing the original video, where she claimed the wife of the man she was allegedly having an affair with was trying to get a restraining order against her.

The 8 Mile actor said she had been ‘deeply hurt’ and told her followers she should have ‘just dealt’ with the issue ‘quietly with the support of my close friends and family,’ instead of posting her relationship issues on a ‘public platform’.

Manning is best known for her role in Orange Is the New Black.

“Over the past few days, I've had some time to reflect on the situation I've been dealing with," she wrote.

“I was deeply hurt and handled things on a public platform when I should've just dealt with them quietly with the support of my close friends and family.

She goes on to admit that she considered claiming that the affair was a lie, but she decided to stick with the truth, before apologising for ‘exposing my situation’.

“I felt a lot of guilt after exposing everything and thought maybe the best resolution to the situation would be to say I lied about it all, but that is not the truth,” she added.

She continued: “I started a relationship with somebody who was married and told me he would leave his wife. In the end, I found out that wasn’t possible.

“I pride myself on being an ethical and kind person. I know what I did was wrong, but the heart makes you do crazy things sometimes."

The Crossroads star shared her intentions to find a ‘healthy type of love’ in the future’ after exposing the affair.

“I am sorry for exposing my situation; I am not sorry for how I love," she said.

"I hope to find somebody who cherishes me the way I adore them. A healthy type of love. A love that isn’t so blind that it forces me to be somebody I’m not.

"This was a huge learning lesson for me. With all this said, I am asking everyone to please give me my privacy so I can heal and mend my heart. Thank you.”

UNILAD has reached out to Manning's legal representative and agents for comment.
