Sister Wives star Janelle Brown has opened up about missing her late son Garrison 'terribly' as she marks his first birthday since he passed away.

Garrison Brown tragically died at the age of 25 in March.

His family confirmed the devastating news in a statement posted on Janelle's Instagram account.

"Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown," it said.

"He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him.

"His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away.

"We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory."

Police confirmed to People that Garrison was 'discovered deceased' inside his home by his brother Gabriel, 22.

Flagstaff Police Department stated to the outlet: "On 03/05/2024 Flagstaff Police officers responded to a report of a death inside a home.

"At this time there is not any indication of foul play, and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are investigating."

Garrison would have turned 26 on Wednesday (April 10), so Janelle posted a touching tribute for the occasion.

The TV star shared a compilation of throwback videos and snaps that featured Garrison on his past birthdays.

Captioning the tear-jerking Instagram post, Janelle penned: "Happy Birthday Sweetheart. We are missing you terribly today. It’s hard to believe you aren’t here anymore.

"We talked a lot about you today and even went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner (your favorite place 😀).

"I still feel you nearby sometimes. And I’m grateful we will see each other again when my journey is completed."

Many of Janelle's followers have also wished Garrison while sharing their condolences to the family.

One wrote: "Hugest hugs! I cannot even imagine. I don’t even personally know your family but have watched from the beginning when the kids were, well wee kids.

"My heart is hurting. Grief has no boundaries. Happy heavenly birthday to your son!”

Another added: "Happy Birthday Garrison. Everyone misses you."

While a third commented: "I want to believe we never lose what we keep in our heart."

And someone else penned: "Happy Birthday Garrison. hugs to you Janelle."

And just days after Janelle confirmed her son had passed away, she revealed the last text she received from her son.

The grieving mom said she and her son texted back and forth for a few minutes on the day of his death, that was until he 'stopped responding' to her.

Janelle claimed that her son sent an ominous group text which allegedly included staff from Sister Wives' production team.

Garrison reportedly sent the group a final text which read: "I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can’t. I miss these days."

Janelle was not included in the group text.
