Pierce Brosnan hits back after friends 'offer wife weight loss surgery'

Pierce Brosnan has hit back after revealing that friends once offered his wife Keely Shаye Smith weight loss surgery.
The pair first met in 1994 and went on to get married in 2001. They have two children together, and also have brought up Pierce's three children which he shared with his first wife, Cassandra Harris, who tragically died from cancer in 1991.
Pierce, 70, and Keely, 59, are still going strong decades later, and the actor regularly shares both old and new pictures of them on social media.

Among them was a snap on their anniversary in 2022, with a picture from their wedding day. Pictures from now look just as adoring as they did on their wedding day.
But trolls lashed out in a since-deleted Facebook post, making cruel comments about Keely gaining weight. However, Pierce was quick to hit back against the nasty remarks, and revealed that sadly it's not just online trolls who have made comments.
Addressing the body-shamers, the 70-year-old wrote: “Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight. But I strongly love every curve of her body.
"She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children.
"In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother.
"And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love.”
Quite right too.
The couple also expressed their love for each other in their anniversary posts, with Pierce writing: “Happy Anniversary my love @keelyshayebrosnan. We danced that night and still dance the dance today. I could do it all again.”
Keely added: “Happy Anniversary my love @piercebrosnanofficial.”
Commenters shared their best wishes, with one writing: “Congratulations, you two! Way to set an example!”
Another said: “Wishing you a wonderful anniversary! So proud of you both, may your marriage continue to bring joy to us all.”
“Happy Anniversary my friends! You both look as in love today as you did then,” added a third.
The James Bond star regularly shares wholesome posts with his followers.
One included some snaps with his mum to mark Mother's Day. He and Keely also posed for a picture with their son Paris for his graduation, with Pierce sharing kind words for their son on the special occasion.
