Pierce Brosnan hits back after friends 'offer wife weight loss surgery'

We could all learn a thing or two from Pierce Brosnan after he gave the perfect response to friends who reportedly offered his wife surgery to ‘reduce her weight’.
The James Bond star met journalist Keely Shаye Smith back in 1994, and they went on to tie the knot in 2001.
Together they had two sons, while also bringing up Pierce’s three kids from his previous marriage to Cassandra Harris, who sadly died from cancer in 1991.
Decades later, Pierce and Keely still have a solid relationship, with the pair both sharing their wedding photo on Instagram earlier this month to celebrate their anniversary.

But in a Facebook post that has since been taken down, online trolls tried to disrupt the peace by sharing pictures comparing how Keely’s body has changed over the years and making offensive comments.
Proving to be the partner we should all strive to be, Pierce clapped back and revealed it’s not just the trolls who have been cruel to his wife.
Addressing the body-shamers, the 69-year-old actor wrote: “Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight. But I strongly love every curve of her body.
"She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children.
"In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother.
"And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love.”
Now that is how you shut down the trolls.
The couple also expressed their love for each other in their anniversary posts, with Pierce writing: “Happy Anniversary my love @keelyshayebrosnan. We danced that night and still dance the dance today. I could do it all again.”
Keely added: “Happy Anniversary my love @piercebrosnanofficial.”
Thousands of commenters shared their admiration and praise for the couple, with one writing: “Congratulations, you two! Way to set an example!”
Another said: “Wishing you a wonderful anniversary! So proud of you both, may your marriage continue to bring joy to us all.”
“Happy Anniversary my friends! You both look as in love today as you did then,” added a third, while a fourth commented, “A true example of a great man and a big love.”
