Hugh Jackman weighs in on Martha Stewart’s claim that neighbor Ryan Reynolds is 'not funny'

Hugh Jackman has provided his take on Martha Stewart’s controversial claim that Ryan Reynolds is 'not funny'.

The Deadpool actor has starred in multiple comedies over the years - but there's one individual that doesn't find Reynolds funny in the slightest.

Martha Stewart recently slammed the actor turned soccer club owner during a special guest appearance on the Rent Free game show, where she was asked a bunch of questions about her celebrity pals.

After naming her friend Snoop Dogg as the most fun friend to hang out with, Stewart revealed Reynolds would likely make the cut, before calling him out for apparently not being very funny.

“He’s probably on the list just ‘cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face — Ryan Reynolds, is he one of those?” the businesswoman and writer said.

“And you want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life,” she added. “No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.”

That wasn't the end of Stewart calling out the Deadpool & Wolverine star, as she doubled down on her comments later in the show.

Stewart added: "He’s a good actor. He can act funny, but he isn’t funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again."

“I’m going to get in trouble. He’s my neighbor."

Reynolds has since issued a response to Stewart's comments, penning on Twitter: "I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so."

Jackman, who of course co-starred alongside Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine, has now reacted to the unfunny claims.

"Finally someone says it," the actor replied in a response to Reynolds' initial comments.

After Stewart made the comments, social media was left very much divided.

"Martha’s out here spilling tea for no reason and I love the chaotic energy," said one Twitter user.

Meanwhile, someone with a differing opinion quipped: "If someone can act funny they are funny."

Someone else wrote: "I mean I’m all for a good drag but because somebody is your neighbor doesn’t mean they have to entertain you and make you cry with laughter when putting the bins out."

While another joked: "Hmm how do you go on the internet and talk abt ur neighbors like aren't you gonna go home and see them in the neighborhood the next day?"
