A clip of Charlie Kirk making some uncomfortable comments about Nicki Minaj has resurfaced online after the rapper made a surprise appearance at a recent Turning Point USA event.

The resurfaced footage has gained renewed attention following the 'Starships' singer's special guest appearance at one of the movement's events in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday (December 21).

The 43-year-old surprised the crowd after being invited on stage for a Q&A alongside Erika Kirk, the widow of the late conservative activist.

Father-of-two Kirk was assassinated while answering questions at a Turning Point USA event back in September.

Two days after the 31-year-old's death, authorities arrested and charged the man accused of his murder - 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, of Utah - with seven counts, including aggravated murder and witness tampering.

During her appearance over the weekend, Minaj found herself at the center of a viral moment after a verbal slip-up while praising Vice President JD Vance as an 'assassin' in a positive light to heap praise on President Donald Trump's right-hand man.

Now, Kirk's past comments about Minaj have awkwardly resurfaced following her gaffe over the weekend.

The video, filmed at a past gathering, shows the founder of the movement speaking about what he described as issues within modern Black culture.

In the clip, he can be heard saying: "Right now, Black culture is being held captive by influencers, songs and role models."

When pressed on who he was referring to, Kirk doubled down: "I mean, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B."

The exchange then takes an uncomfortable turn, as Kirk is challenged directly on his comments.

Asked: "Okay, Nicki Minaj is causing dad's to leave the home?" he responds: "I don't think that's a good role model for Black 18-year-old girls. I don't."

Yes, it doesn't make for great reading if you're the rapper!

As for what exactly she said on stage over the weekend, the mishap was taken well by Kirk's widow.

"Trust me, there's nothing new under the Sun that I have not heard so you're fine," the 37-year-old widow said.

"[Speaking directly to Minaj about what just happened] Yes, we did, I love you; I love you."

Erika continued: "You have to laugh about it. Truly, I have been called every single thing, and you know what God is so good, you let it roll right off your back - and this is what's so beautiful about this moment, because if the internet wants to clip it, who cares?

"I love this woman, she is an amazing woman. She has a soul and a heart for the Lord, and words are words, but I know her heart and it doesn't even matter - and you say what you want to say because I know your heart - and I do not judge that."
