Lizzo’s reaction to seeing Jared Leto at the Met Gala has gone viral

Lizzo was all of us in her reaction to seeing Jared Leto dressed as a massive cat at the Met Gala.

This year's theme was called 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty' - a tribute to the late German fashion designer who died in 2019.

While most celebs stuck to the brief, others took it to a whole new level and dressed up as Choupette, the fashion designer's cat.

The likes of Doja Cat turned up in a silver skintight gown from Oscar de la Renta, as the rest of her outfit featured a built-in head covered with cat ears.

Meanwhile, Leto opted to dress up in a giant white fluffy Choupette-inspired costume - and no one was more surprised than Lizzo.

As the pair greeted one another, Lizzo's stunned face makes it hard to figure out if she knew if it was Leto or not.

Either way, the four-time Grammy winner looked completely creeped out and her: "Who is this?" reaction has gone viral.

"lizzo has me dead af hugging jared leto," one viewer tweeted, while another added: "I wonder how Lizzo felt when she realised she’d hugged Jared Leto."

"Lizzo and Jared Leto as Lagerfeld’s cat, Choupette, just won the Met Gala!" a third person commented.

Someone else said: "it was JARED LETO scaring Lizzo!!"

After their brief exchange, Leto took off his giant cat head to reveal himself and celebs on the carpet were loving it.

But sadly, a representative for the cat (yes, an animal has a personal assistant) revealed earlier this week that the feline would not be walking the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The cat's official Instagram page said: "A million thanks to all of you my fans, animal lovers & Daddy's admirers. You have all shown the kindest enthusiasm and unconditional support, I say MERCI!

"Many people invited me to walk the red carpet of the #METGALA2023 in tribute to Daddy, but we preferred to stay peacefully & cozy at home.

"We pay tribute to my Daddy every day since his parting and we are very moved to see one more day dedicated to him.

"With love, forever Choupette."

Elsewhere at the Met Gala people think that Dua Lipa's outfit has been the 'craziest pull' of the night, as she went for a Chanel dress that was first worn by Claudia Schiffer back in the 90s.
