Fans start a GoFundMe to make Kanye West a billionaire again

There must be better ways to spend your money on GoFundMe than raising a billion dollars for Kanye West.

A GoFundMe to get Kanye West back to billionaire status has been launched, though it probably won't be successful.

As the latest attempts at torpedoing his own career with horrendous antisemitism continue, some 'fans' of Kanye West have set up a GoFundMe to raise some money for him.

In recent weeks, the rapper has made a series of anti-Semitic comments which has seen him be widely condemned, with various brands he's linked to cutting ties with him.

Once possessing a net worth in the billions, the backlash against his antisemitism has cost him so much value to the point that he's lost that billionaire status.

But it was sportswear brand Adidas ditching Kanye that tipped him over the edge and cost him a significant amount of money.

So many companies have cut ties with him now that the rapper claims he lost $2 billion in one day.

Rather than heed the calls to apologise for what he's said and listen to the people urging him to stop, West has instead continued to dig himself deeper and double down on his comments.

While on Piers Morgan Uncensored, he said he knew what he'd said was racist and explained that was why he said it, repeatedly refusing to turn back from his comments.

He recently claimed that the media is controlled by Jewish people and shared a spreadsheet of Jewish executives at major companies.

West also said that he's been 'beaten to a pulp' over the massive amounts of money he's lost over his deals getting terminated.

And it looks like fans of his music might also be turning away from him, with sales and streams of his songs collapsing across the board.

There are GoFundMe's being set up to get Kanye West back to billionaire status.

Hoping to 'help' the rapper regain his billionaire status are some fans who have set up a GoFundMe to raise a billion dollars and hand it over to West, or at least that's what they say they'll do.

At this point, we should make it clear that this is a joke, and while the GoFundMe is real and you can donate to it (there are actually several on the site now) you'd be much better off spending your money on far more worthy causes.

With a goal of raising $1 billion, it would take impossibly massive resources to actually reach the goal, so this is just a few people joking around.

Whether you want some of your money to reach West or not, you definitely shouldn't donate any money to them.
