Joe Rogan has spoken out in defense of Dylan Mulvaney, and says it's crazy people are so annoyed about her Bud Light partnership.

In case you missed all the furore around it, here's a little recap. Mulvaney is something of a social media sensation, with millions of followers on Instagram and TikTok.

She also happens to be a trans woman, which pretty depressingly, some parts of society don't take too kindly to.

But things came to a head last week when the 26-year-old was seen endorsing a couple of huge brands, namely Nike and Bud Light.

The latter even sent Mulvaney a few cans of the beer with her face on... which, again, some people really did not appreciate.

One of those was Kid Rock - real name Robert James Ritchie - who shared a video of him expressing his anger.

In the short clip, the 52-year-old is seen firing a rifle - pretty aimlessly, it has to be said - at a few crates of Bud Light.

After shooting his load at the cans, Mr Rock then turns to the camera and says: "F*** Bud Light and f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day."

Well, seeing this and other comments blow up all over social media about the topic, Rogan took time to discuss the topic on his podcast.

And he really couldn't understand what the hell people were so upset about.

Kid Rock was not happy with Bud Light over the endorsement.

"What they’re doing is just spreading the brand to an extra group of people," he said.

"Why, if something is good, do you give a f**k who’s got it?

“Like, would we do this with cheesecake? Like, you know what I’m saying? Like, if there was like a bomb ass cheesecake and all of a sudden, you know, some radical group like Antifa really got into the cheesecake. Would we be like, ‘F**k this'?"

He went on to say that he believes a lot of people are angered by the fact that Mulvaney is a 'goofy' person online.

Joe Rogan said the outrage was just silly.

"How is that the big deal?" Rogan asked. "I think it’s goofy. Because I think that person’s goofy. But if you want to hire a goofy person, like, who gives a s**t. It’s kind of hilarious.

“It was also just a can with that person’s face on it. That’s all it was. It wasn’t like something they were selling.”

Rogan then had a couple of cans of Bud Light brought in for him and his guest, gleefully taking a sip.

And while he didn't like the message, he admitted that he thought Kid Rock's video was pretty funny.

"On the other hand, I love Kid Rock’s video because I love that kind of thinking," he said. "Not even that I agree with it, I like wild people. I like raising hell, man."

Adding: "But where's he gonna go now? He gonna go to Coors?"
