Chris Evans Is Looking For Someone To Spend His Life With

Chris Evans has said the one thing in his life that he’s currently ‘laser-focused on’ is finding love. 

The 41-year-old Marvel star and recent lead man in the relatively well-received Lightyear was talking to Shondaland when he opened up a little about his personal life and said that he was keen to find his next partner. 

Asked by Shondaland if there's anything in his life that he was ‘laser-focused on’ his answer was a new relationship.

“I’m gonna give you a good answer,” he replied to the question.

“The answer would be that maybe [I’m] laser-focused on finding a partner – someone that you want to live [with].”

The actor continued by saying: “Look – I love what I do. It’s great; I pour all of myself into it.”

However, he added: “This industry is full of pockets of doubt, hesitation, and recalibration.

"In terms of really trying to find someone that you really can pour all of yourself into, maybe it’s about trying to find someone that you’re looking to spend your life with."

Evans has been pretty secretive about his love life ever since his split from last public girlfriend, comedian Jenny Slate in 2018. Evans had started seeing Slate in 2016 – prior to that he’d been in a seven-year relationship with the actress Minka Kelly, which ended in 2014.

He was also with another fellow actor, Jessica Biel, between 2001 and 2006. 

Evans has been receiving a fair amount of love from the critics, meanwhile, with the Toy Story spin-off Lightyear averaging a 75 percent rating on reviews aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. 

The storyline focuses on a young Buzz Lightyear, although it doesn’t take place in the same universe as the run of original Toy Story films. As well as turning a $213 million box office take, the film’s taken in some cautiously positive reviews.

The Wall Street Journal wrote: “Pixar isn’t trying to mint a new classic here, nor to win another Oscar, so viewers stand a solid chance of getting through the movie without crying. 

"It’s nice to know that Team Pixar can still recognise the importance of fun.”

However, it’s also received some flack, with The Observer saying: “For a film which shoots for the stars, this is disappointingly pedestrian stuff.”
