Cher, 76, confirms she's in relationship with 36-year-old
Cher addressed the 40-year age gap and answered questions from concerned fans about her new relationship with Alexander Edwards
Cher is in a new relationship and she wants the world to know about it.
The 76-year-old music icon and top tweeter confirmed she’s dating music producer Alexander Edwards, 36, on Sunday (6 November).
Revealing that her beau treats her ‘like a queen’, the 'All or Nothing' singer first hinted about her blossoming romance last week on Twitter. “One part of my life is SO AMAZING,” she told her four million followers.

She then followed-up this declaration of love with a picture of her boyfriend with a heart emoji.
The mum-of-two said she had already introduced Edwards to her family, adding that ‘love doesn’t know math!”
The relationship is still new, after Cher said they first met during Paris Fashion Week in October.
While many fans expressed their excitement for their favourite singer and actor on her new relationship, others were slightly more concerned.
One Twitter user questioned Edwards’ intentions with the Best Actress Oscar winner. “I'm not sure how I feel about this,” the fan said. “I've been a fan for so long that I'm immediately suspicious of his intentions towards you.
“WE know you are fabulous and I'm sure your inner circle will continue to have your back. Want you to be happy, but not taken advantage of!!!”
But the Moonstruck star said she has always taken chances. “As we All Know …I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY,& What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance. I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am.”
Cher also addressed the elephant in the room, the 40-year age gap between the pair. When one follower tweeted: “Yess, 40-year age difference. Only Cher I love it!", the singer replied, “Love doesn’t know math, it sees [red heart emojis]. Rinpoche told me ‘some ppl [sic] meet, others ‘recognise’.”

Edwards is also pretty established in the music industry before dating one of the industry’s most loved and respected acts. He is the vice president of A&R at the famous record label which boasts a roster of musicians including Rihanna, Pusha T, Nas, Public Enemy and Justin Bieber.
He was in a relationship with model and Slut Walk activist Amber Rose, with whom he shares three-year-old son Slash Electric Alexander Edwards. The former couple split in 2021 after they were first linked in 2018.
Cher was married to Sonny Bono - with whom she performed with under the name Sonny & Cher - between 1964 and 1975.
