Britney Spears’ dad Jamie has submitted a request that the pop star sits for a deposition so he can challenge claims she made about him on social media and in her upcoming memoir.
Britney, who recently deleted her Instagram account, won her lengthy legal battle to remove her conservatorship last year - but it seems as though this might not be the end of her legal issues.
Lawyers on behalf of her dad have filed paperwork requesting that Spears be made to take part in a deposition, according to a report from PEOPLE.

In legal papers seen by the news outlet, Jamie's lawyer, Alex Weingarten, wrote: “Britney's counsel claims Britney is exempt from discovery obligations regarding her allegations of wrongdoing, but Jamie has a right to prepare his case and depose Britney, as she is the individual making unsupported claims against him.”
The paperwork goes on to claim that there is ‘no legal basis’ to object against her testifying in a deposition, adding that any ‘emotionally difficult topics’ have already been mentioned on the singer’s social media pages in recent months.
The filing continues: "She claims through her court filings and through her social media musings to know all kinds of information relating to her allegations of wrongdoing.

"Accordingly, Britney either: (1) has the knowledge about her allegations that she professes to have in court filings and on social media; or (2) has no such knowledge or support and simply believes that she can say whatever she wants in court and on social media regardless of whether her allegations are true."
According to TMZ, specific issues Jamie would like to see Britney questioned about include claims she made about having to give vials of blood for medical treatment and being forced into therapy.
The outlet also reports that Jamie’s attorneys have said Britney's lawyer Mathew Rosengart has denied requests to hold a deposition and called it ‘another tactic to bully, harass and intimidate his daughter - his own daughter’.

Earlier this month, Britney married her long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari at her Los Angeles home.
The intimate wedding ceremony between Britney, 40, and her 28-year-old fitness trainer partner Asghari saw numerous high-profile celebrities in attendance, including Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Madonna and Donatella Versace.
Just days after sharing snaps from her big day, Britney deleted her Instagram and - as yet - has not returned.
