Brad Pitt Wears A Skirt To The Bullet Train Premiere

Based on the book of the same name, Bullet Train follows a deadly assassin (Pitt) as he attempts to carry out a mission on a train

Brad Pitt rocked up to the German premiere of his latest film wearing a skirt, having ditched the black-tie get-up to walked the red carpet in a flowy, knee-length number.

No doubt Pitt made a wise decision by getting his legs out at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin yesterday, with Germany currently bracing itself for temperatures of up to 40C this week as the European heatwaves continue.

There’s no saying whether his choices were inspired by sensible, seasonal comfort or simply just #fashion – his black midi skirt paired with a matching jacket, button-down shirt, black boots and sunglasses.

Based on the book of the same name by Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train follows a deadly assassin (Pitt) as he attempts to carry out a mission on the fastest train in the world.

A synopsis from Sony says: “In Bullet Train, Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug's latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe - all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives - on the world's fastest train.

“The end of the line is just the beginning in this non-stop thrill-ride through modern-day Japan from David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2.”

The star-studded cast also features Joey King as The Prince, Andrew Koji as Yuichi Kimura, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tangerine, and Brian Tyree Henry as Lemonade.

Speaking to Collider, King admitted she had first-day jitters joining the line-up with Hollywood royalty like Pitt.

She said: “I’ve been doing this for a long time, but when I was with such heavy hitters in that movie and David Leitch directing this movie, I showed up to set being like, ‘Hey.’ I felt like a kid on the first day at school. I was like, ‘I don’t know anything about acting apparently, so I’m really excited to be here.’ [Laughs] But he just made me feel so comfortable, and so did Brad.

"Everyone was like, ‘No, it’s not your first day at school. You’re gonna do great,’ and I was like, ‘Aw, thanks guys.’ And just the whole experience, like you said, he’s the king of stunt work and action, and I cannot wait to see this movie because from the stuff we filmed and from the stuff I saw, it is just so cool. It is so ridiculously cool.”

Watch Bullet Train in cinemas from 5 August.
