Elon Musk has weighed in on the hilarious AI-generated images depicting himself and his rival Mark Zuckerberg enjoying a romantic beach date.

The two billionaire tech entrepreneurs have been anything but friends.

Not only are the pair set to face-off in a cage fight in a yet-to-be-determined location, both of their platforms have also been going up against each other recently.

Twitter owner Musk, 52, has made a number of changes to the platform since acquiring it in October 2022, which has led to a lot of criticism by long-time users of the app, including selling verification ticks.

Meanwhile, Facebook founder and Meta CEO Zuckerberg, 39, successfully launched Threads, which is widely considered to be an unofficial alternative to Twitter.

Threads shares a lot of similarities with Twitter, allowing users to post, share, like and follow other users, with parent company Meta explaining that the app aims to 'take what Instagram does best and expand that to text'.

Because the situation between the two men have been frosty to say the least, you can understand the shock when images depicting them holding hands on a beach and hugging each other by the sea surfaced online.

Amid all the tension, the harmonious AI-generated images, which were shared by Twitter user Sir Doge of the Coin, are hilarious.

The picture collage sees the pair wearing similar, neutral-coloured outfits consisting of casual t-shirts and jeans as they stroll along the beach and galavant in the water.

It’s adorable and picturesque but entirely fake, much to the disappointment of many who would like to see the two men get along for once.

The post has been viewed over 7 million times on Musk’s platform and has accumulated 17,300 retweets and 143,500 likes at the time of writing.

The tweet must have ended up on Musk’s timeline as he reacted to the post with a simple ‘laugh-while-crying’ emoji.

Now, there are many ways one could read that emoji - does he love the pictures? Is he horrified? Is it so ridiculous he can’t believe his eyes? All valid responses.

Musk’s reply to the AI images comes after he challenged Zuckerberg to a d**k measuring contest, shortly after suggesting that the the pair meet in a 'cage match' to battle it out.

It was last week when the Tesla founder started calling the Facebook founder names, writing: "Zuck is a cuck."

A 'cuck', short for 'cuckhold', which refers to when someone is cheating, or having sex with someone else's partner.

It doesn't have anything to do with Twitter or Threads, but it's also become a go-to insult for those more right-wing.

Musk then responded to his own tweet with a literal below-the-belt comment directed at Zuckerberg.

"I propose a literal d**k measuring contest,” he wrote.
