MrBeast's genius move saw him gain over 20 million subscribers in a year

The clever trick has earned him millions of extra views and subscribers

MrBeast has revealed the 'great idea' he used to seriously boost the number of his subscribers - which brought him millions of extra fans.

The YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has almost 200 million subscribers across his channels and his main channel is the fifth most subscribed on the video-sharing platform. Pretty impressive, right?

As you can imagine, to hit such impressive heights MrBeast has a savvy business mind and he recently revealed the fairly easy and quick method that he used to boost his numbers by millions.

During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, he revealed his dubbed channels which - as the name suggests - show his videos dubbed with other languages.

He told Rogan: “We actually… I’m kind of curious why you don’t do this… we do our videos in other languages as well.

“So these are the exact same videos on my main channel, but we pay voice actors to dub over them. We translate the text on the video - everything.”

MrBeast went on to say that his MrBeast en Español was ‘one of the fastest growing channels last year’.

And he’s not wrong - the Spanish version language of his channel went from 300,000 viewers to a staggering 22 million in a single year.

The YouTuber explained the success by telling Rogan: “Less than 10 percent of the world speaks English - so 90 percent of the world can’t even enjoy your content. And when I realised that, I was like, ‘wait a minute - 90 percent of the world can’t even watch this stuff’.”

Rogan appeared to be seriously impressed by his idea, telling MrBeast: “That’s so smart. What a great idea, man.”

And his ‘great idea’ hasn’t just paid off in terms of subscribers and views, because earlier this year Forbes revealed MrBeast is the current richest and best creator in the entire world.

MrBeast was reported by Forbes as having earned a whopping $54 million in 2021, having 162 million followers, an average engagement of 5.99 percent and entrepreneurship score of three.

Taking to Twitter after the announcement, MrBeast politely thanked the publication before flagging a few incorrect statistics.

He wrote: "Couple edits, I have more than 160 mil followers. Our channels have 200+ mil subs alone. The entrepreneur score seems off, some of my friends with sub 10 employees scored the same as ones with 100+ lol.

"Also can u plz use any other photo of me."
