Hailing from the16th-century, the fortuneteller has alreayd been credited with predicting major historical events, including the rise of Adolf Hitler, the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings, and the Great Fire of London - long after his mortal life.

He's even inspired some of his contemporaries, like this man who calls himself the 'living Nostradamus', who made some interesting predictions for 2024. I'll let you see for yourself if he was right:

Other famous psychics such as Baba Vanga had also already made some chilling predictions for 2025, including alien contact and mind-reading.

For 2025, it is claimed Nostradamus foresaw the rise of a new empire, as well as breakthroughs that will allow us mere mortals to manipulate reality.

Here's everything Nostradamus has predicted for the new year...

Major flooding - and a new empire

Nostradamus reckons huge floods will destroy major coastal cities, leaving millions homeless and governments scrambling, as per Astro Nymero.

In the throes of despair, a mysterious leader will arise from the deep blue. Rather than sending help, though, it will declare ownership of its new 'Aquatic Empire.'

The incident will apparently shake-up the current world order - which is quite literally the last thing we need right now.

Shadow cults will emerge

As if aqua overlords weren't enough, we've also got 'manipulative' shadow entities to contend with.

Nostradamus predicted the shadowy cults would pop up across the globe, harnessing the power of 'dark rituals.'

They'll exploit anxiety triggered by 'earlier events' - presumably the Aquatic Empire? - promising salvation and safety.

Quantum physics breakthrough

Secrets of consciousness and the multiverse will be unearthed when a pioneering group of scientists make breakthroughs in quantum physics, according to Nostradamus.

The discovery will eventually allow people to dimension-hop, manipulate reality and communicate with 'higher forms of intelligence.' Are you noticing a theme here?

He said the 'destiny of humanity' is, in fact, a 'quantum trance'.

Conspiracies will unfold

Die-hard conspiracy theorists will love this one. 2025 will be the year 'long-hidden secrets' are brought to life across the globe, 'shaking the foundations of governments and institutions.'

Nostradamus claims people will demand accountability, sparking a 'new era of transparency' that will 'change the course of history.'

Digital doom

As if we need more to worry about, our whole infrastructure will be plunged into chaos thanks to global cyberattacks next year.

Apparently, electrical grids, financial systems and communication networks will all collapse. Once again, governments will be left scrambling for control.

Nostradamus described the attacks, from 'unknown hands' as 'a cyber revolt, a digital doom.'

Considering the increasing amount of cyber attacks we witness year on year, this isn't exactly outside the realms of possibility.

The return of ancient wisdom

Amid all this chaos, there will be some salvation - in the form of ancient practices resurfacing.

Nostradamus detailed 'herbal medicine, healers of the Earth, Indigenous voices' and 'a healing song' among the wisdom making a comeback.
