A man who's visited every country in the world has revealed the one place where he felt unsafe.

It's estimated that there are currently under 400 people who have visited all 195 countries in the world, although the number is said to be increasing.

Now, visiting every corner of the globe is sure to bring about a whole host of different experiences.

And it makes sense that some areas may feel sketchier than others.

Taking to Reddit, one traveler explained that there were a few countries in which they felt unsafe, but for different reasons.

For example, some countries have larger rates of crime and terrorism, while others are said to be more dangerous politically.

In a Reddit thread titled 'I’m one of a few hundred people who has been to every country in the world. AMA' Redditor @SirJackson360 explained: "Just like the title says. This year at 40 I hit the every 'recognized' country list (195). Surprisingly, it took me until three years ago to hit all U.S. states. Ask me anything."

When asked which country he felt the most unsafe in, the Redditor explained: "This is a hard one to quantify, as I’m sure a lot of these will be. Politically? North Korea. I felt fine in every day life, but I had also heard the horror stories.

"I didn’t take many pictures (outside of what I was definitely allowed to do). There were other countries that I felt unsafe in due to crime or terrorism, but there’s definitely a lot of fear in going to some of these places, especially with a young family like I have now."

The Redditor was also asked a follow-up question, 'what were some of these 'unsafe due to crime or terrorism' countries?'

They responded: "Mostly African countries and some middle eastern countries. Yemen comes to mind. It wasn’t always this way and the Yemeni people are great but when special interests get involved it’s usually not great for the local people.

"Other places like Somalia and Afghanistan are places I would also tell people to avoid. But hey. The closest I was ever to a major terrorist attack was actually here in the U.S. on new years (although I’ve had other close calls). So there’s danger and good and bad people everywhere."

Americans have been issued a 'do not travel' warning to Yemen - 'due to terrorism, civil unrest, crime, health risks, kidnapping, armed conflict, and landmines' - and Somalia, 'due to crime, terrorism, civil unrest, health, kidnapping, piracy, and lack of availability of routine consular services'.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan also has a 'do not travel' warning 'due to civil unrest, crime, terrorism, risk of wrongful detention, kidnapping, and limited health facilities'.

Another person who has traveled to all 195 countries is Drew Binsky, who also revealed which countries he felt unsafe in.

In a video titled 'Top five places where I felt the most unsafe as a traveller', Drew revealed the one place he personally found to be the scariest to visit.

He said: "I travelled to every country in the world. Here are the five places I felt most unsafe. Number one is Mogadishu, which is the capital of the East African country Somalia."

He went on: "This place has no rules, no laws. Al-Shabaab is present, which is an off-shoot of Al-Qaeda. Every time you leave your hotel you have to have a convoy in the front and back with four bulletproof vest military guys sitting on the beds of each truck with huge AK-47s in their hand, scouting out the area before you go.

"Last time I went, I visited my friend at the Hyatt Hotel, which actually is gone because it was attacked. It's just very scary and very unfortunate."
