An NFL fan faced the ire of the internet this week after a viral video showed him hurling abuse at another fan.

The incident happened during Sunday’s NFC wild-card game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers at Lincoln Financial Field.

In the viral video that has widely circulated social media, the man wearing an Eagles jacket is heard calling the woman an ‘ugly dumb c***’ as well as insulting her fiancé who was with her during the game.

According to NFL reporter Derrick Gunn, the Eagles were able to identify the fan and he was banned from future games.

In a Twitter post, Gunn said: “The guy will be banned from future Eagles games.. the Eagles will be sending the woman Packers gear as an apology... Eagles once again showing what a class organization they are.”

People on social media also made efforts to identify the man, which has helped the video spread across multiple platforms.

The man’s workplace has also spoken out about the incident and said after an investigation they have decided to part ways with him.

In a statement BCT Partners, a DEI-focused management consulting firm based in East Brunswick, New Jersey condemned his actions.

The statement read: “In keeping with our company values, which are firmly centered on respect, dignity, and inclusion, we have decided to part company with the employee. This separation is effective immediately.

“We condemn our former employee’s conduct in the strongest possible terms.

"This individual’s conduct and language were vile, disgusting, unacceptable, and horrific and have no place in our workplace and society. Such conduct is not who we are and not what we stand for."

The couple were later identified as Ally Keller and her fiancé Alex Basara and spoken to local media about the incident.

Speaking to NBC News, Basara recalled the incident: “He started out with playful jabs at first or kind of just saying things to us right when we sat down.

“I chatted with him for a bit. But then he just kept saying some of the same things. Continued through the entire game. It got worse and worse as the game went on. We were surrounded by Eagles fans. We were getting all the attention."

The interaction between the pair eventually began to sour, with the Eagles fan eventually taking personal shots at Keller.
