Influencers hoping to experience a day of luxury on a $4.5 million dollar yacht had their plans disrupted when the vessel started to sink.

On Saturday (May 3), 30 bikini-clad influencers got onboard a 63-foot Tecnomar for Lamborghini yacht and went for a spin by Miami Beach, Florida.

The huge boat began taking on water off Monument Island, located near Star Island where celebrities such as Rick Ross, Don Johnson, and Jennifer Lopez are believed to have had properties.

The Seventh Coast Guard District rushed to their aid, as well as crews from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and marine patrol units from local police agencies. The rescued people were then taken to the Miami Beach Marina.

Taking to Twitter to report on the situation, USCG Southeast said: "A @USCG Sta #MiamiBeach crew & partner agencies responded to a 63-ft vessel taking on water near Monument Island rescuing 32 people w/no injuries reported around 5 p.m., Sat. Commercial salvage is working to recover the vessel & isn't a hazard to navigation."

The fish and wildlife agency will lead an investigation.

While it's yet to be confirmed what caused the yacht to sink, it has been speculated that the amount of people onboard the boat may have been a contributing factor.

As per Fox News, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini yacht is made for 16 people to be onboard.

Elsewhere it has been reported that the yacht is only meant to fit five guests, as well as two crew members, Mail Online says.

While their day ended in disaster, the influencers onboard the ship at the time seemed pretty unfazed by it all.

In one clip, a woman was seen cradling an expensive bottle of tequila which she manage to save as the ship went down and said that the 'baby is safe' (referring to the bottle of booze).

Other videos shared online saw lots of women sporting life vests.

Snaps shared by the Coast Guard saw the back end of the yacht submerged in water and the front of the vessel started to point upwards towards the sky.

The yacht is believed to be one of a limited run designed by luxury car maker and The Italian Sea Group, says New York Post.

One famous face to own one of the exclusive yachts is MMA star Conor McGregor, who reportedly made the multimillion dollar purchase in 2021.

UNILAD has approached Lamborghini for a comment.
