New information has surfaced about the cheerleader accused of dumping her newborn baby in a trash bag and her recent activity.
Laken Snelling, a STUNT cheerleader at the University of Kentucky, was arrested on August 30 after cops found a dead infant 'wrapped in a towel inside a black trash bag' and stuffed inside a closet in her off-campus accommodation.
It has since been determined the Interdisciplinary Disability Studies student from Tennessee is the child's biological mother as she 'admitted to giving birth' during questioning.
Snelling also reportedly confessed to cleaning up the evidence of her birth and discarding it in the trash bag with the infant, the arrest report added.

The 21-year-old from White Pine, Tennessee, has since been charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and concealing the birth of an infant, of which she has pleaded not guilty.
While a DNA test is reportedly underway to determine whether Snelling's ex-boyfriend, Izaiah Hall, is the baby boy's father, new information has surfaced about the star cheerleader's activity just days after her arrest.

According to the Lexington Herald Leader, Kentucky University spokesperson Jay Blanton confirmed on Friday (September 5) that Snelling had withdrawn from the Lexington-area school.

She is also no longer a member of its competitive STUNT team, where she performed for three years. Blanton did not specify when Snelling officially unenrolled, however.
After pleading not guilty to the charges, the student was released on a $100,000 bond by a Fayette District Court judge on Tuesday (September 2) and has been ordered to live with her parents until her next court appearance on September 26.
Cops said the baby was pronounced dead at the scene when they descended on the residence at 400 block of Park Avenue to reports of an 'unresponsive infant.'
A cause of death report by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office initially determined the autopsy as inconclusive, adding that it will now conduct 'extensive microcosmic analyses' to determine how the baby died.

It remains unclear when and where Snelling gave birth, if she suffered a miscarriage, if the baby was born alive or stillborn and if the young woman even knew she was pregnant.
Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said in a statement: "I understand the community’s concern and sensitivity surrounding the death of a child. We are conducting a thorough and methodical death investigation to ensure all facts are carefully considered."
The child's biological father is also the subject of speculation, as Hall's family confirmed to The Daily Mail that the quarterback has had a DNA sample taken to find out.

Snelling reportedly dated Hall before supposedly entering a new relationship with former basketball star Jordon Connor.
Before her arrest, the college student also reportedly created a TikTok video detailing her aspirations for the year, which included emojis of an engagement ring, a house, money, and a baby.
If found guilty of the charges against her, Snelling could face a jail term of between one and five years, as the crime is considered a Class D felony under Kentucky law.
Terminating a pregnancy in the state is also illegal except in cases where abortion is necessary to save a woman's life or to prevent a disabling injury.
