Donald Trump has taken a shot at Joe Biden as he announced his upcoming plans to make more further renovations.

Donald Trump faced some criticism last month when he began construction on the White House to remove the historic East Wing to make room for his ballroom.

Officials stated the wing would be 'modernized' and expanded to make way for a 90,000 square foot ballroom, capable of hosting up to 650 people at a time. However, it is set to cost an eye-watering $300 million.

Defending the decision, Trump has said: “Nobody’s actually seen anything quite like it. I think it’ll be one of the great ballrooms anywhere in the world; it’s about $300 million.

"In order to do it properly, we had to take down the existing structure.”

In a Truth Social post on Wednesday, Trump made it clear he wasn’t done making changes however.

This time, he intends to make some changes to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, and took a shot at former president Joe Biden in the process.

He said: “This is the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool before Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and I fix it. Study it hard because you won’t be seeing this Biden filth and incompetence much longer!”

He also shared a black and white video of the pool being cleaned up that concluded with the line ‘make D.C. beautiful again.’

It is not clear how much this will cost or when this cleanup process will be completed.

While Trump has not received backlash for this move, he and the White House have previously argued back against complaints from the construction of the ballroom and gotten defensive against critics.

The White House justified the move due to a supposed inadequate space when attempting to accommodate more guests as it the East Wing could hold only 200 people. For larger events a 'large and unsightly tent' had to be set up to accommodate.

In a release explaining the expansion, the White House stated: “"The White House Ballroom will be substantially separated from the main building of the White House, but at the same time, its theme and architectural heritage will be almost identical.

“The site of the new ballroom will be where the small, heavily changed, and reconstructed East Wing currently sits."

The construction plans have also revealed a rendering of the ballroom's design, with a gigantic room and elaborate gold details from the chandeliers to the ornate ceiling.
