Marriage is a big leap for anyone to take, but when you’re conjoined, it comes with its own set of unique challenges.
There have been a few reports of conjoined twins getting married lately. Recently, Abby Hensel announced that she said ‘I do’ to her beau, as conjoined sister Brittany was beside her.
But now we have happy news again after Carmen Andrade, an influencer who shares everything there is to know about her life as a conjoined twin, revealed that she married her long-time boyfriend, Daniel McCormack, in private.
The pair got married in Connecticut, in a very intimate scene.

“We eloped in October with our families,” Carmen told TODAY on July 10.
The couple revealed that it was a small ceremony on Lover’s Leap Bridge over the Housatonic River in New Milford, where conjoined twin sister Lupita was by her side.

Immediately, Carmen was breaking traditions and wore an emerald green dress with sequins, but says she doesn’t ‘regret’ it.

“I did not wear white,” Carmen said. “Don’t regret it. I don’t like white. That’s not my thing.”
McCormack, 28, matched with her, wearing a dark suit with an emerald green bow tie and a sunflower boutonniere to match Carmen’s beautiful floral bouquet.
The pair were elated to have taken this leap together, and when she announced it to her fans, it came as a shock to all.
This is because the pair did it in secret.

“We should probably also address something else pretty big,” Carmen shared during her YouTube video. “I did get married.”
She then brandished her wedding ring as Lupita said after: “I did not.”
Clearing things up, the influencer said her husband only married her, and not her sister too.
Her husband appeared on camera and explained that they got married seven months ago, with family in a small gathering, as he doesn't like weddings that invite extended family.

For Carmen, her social anxiety meant that she didn't feel comfortable with a big wedding and so was happy with a small ceremony.
Lupita, who is single, identifies as asexual and aromantic and is not looking to commit to marriage.
She stated in the video: “I don’t want to get married."
As for why, she said, 'because, I don't want to.'

The pair previously explained how they are conjoined, stating that 'most people' haven't met a set of conjoined twins before and said they are 'connected at the torso' and 'share a pelvis'.
They then shared that they have 'two separate hearts' and 'don't share a brain'.
However, there are multiple parts of their bodies that are entwined, including their digestive and reproductive systems, but they stressed that 'their own sides are their own sides' when it comes to physical sensations.

On the subject of dating, the girls are vastly different.
Carmen explained that she met her now husband on Hinge, and she said it was 'really awkward' to share that she was a conjoined twin on her profile.
"I was obviously going to be transparent about everything," Carmen said. "It was a learning process for everybody. We obviously had to have a discussion on what boundaries are OK and what aren't."
She then implied that she and her boyfriend are not intimate sexually because of her conjoined twin.

"We're not intimate in that way, and he's OK with that," she said.
When asked if her sister was a good wingwoman, Carmen revealed that she was not, and Lupita admitted: "I make fun of both of them."
For Carmen, she knew he was the one.
“I knew right off the bat that Daniel was different from the others, because he didn’t lead with a question about my condition,” she told TODAY. “I have social anxiety, and I’ve ended up canceling dates at the last minute, but I felt calm on the way there.”
