An alleged killer was left in a compromising position when he tried to jump from a 12th-floor apartment to escape police, only to be left dangling when his underwear got caught.
Michael Perry, 37, has been charged with murder, according to Boston police, after police discovered the body of Jose Aponte during a well-being check.
Police were alerted when someone texted Jose Aponte's, 43, boss to call in sick, but the message didn't match Aponte's usual writing style.

Aponte's family also confirmed that they hadn't heard from him in days.
Police arrived to Aponte's apartment to find him deceased inside, with visible signs of physical trauma.
Prosecutors stated that Perry was in the apartment when police arrived, and had 'moved things around to obscure himself'.

When authorities called out to Perry to ask if he had any weapons on him, he replied: "Come and find out."
Eventually, a SWAT team arrived on the scene, which was when Perry attempted his escape by jumping through the window.
Things didn't exactly go to plan for Perry, though, as the daring leap was dampened when Perry's underwear snagged on the window handle, leaving him dangling upside-down, 12 storeys above the street.
Police caught Perry by heading down to the 11th floor and pulling him in from the window below.

After he was taken to hospital, Perry was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon as well as the murder of Jose Aponte.
While Michael's failed escape might sound like a freak situation, it's not the first time he's been caught leaping out windows.
In fact, it sounds like this guy kind of has a thing for exiting via the window - especially when police come knocking on the door.

Prosecutors confirmed to NBC 10 Boston that Perry is the same man who was infamously filmed jumping from a seventh-storey window and landing on an awning to escape police.
The 2017 incident saw a SWAT team arriving to the Chandler Inn in Boston over reports of an attack in the hostel.
When officers moved in, Michael Perry hopped through the window and landed on an awning below, where members of the SWAT team were able to grab him.
Much like his most recent brush with the law, Michael Perry was taken to hospital to be treated for the reckless jump, before he was charged.
