Two people banned from Disney World after massive brawl broke out over family photo

Two people banned from Disney World after massive brawl broke out over family photo

Not exactly what you'd expect at 'the happiest place on Earth'

Two people have been banned from Disney World after a caught-on-camera brawl broke out over family photos at the Magic Kingdom.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the fight began after a member of one family posing for a group photo asked someone from another family to move.

Both were trying to capture the magic in front of the park's 100th anniversary sign at 2:30pm on Monday (15 May).

Florida authorities have since revealed that the physical altercation resulted in two people being banned from Walt Disney World.

One family - who police referred to as the 'victim family' - was posing in front of the monument for a group photograph when another 'suspect family' then walked into frame.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said: “When the suspect family was asked to move so the photo could be taken, one member of the suspect family punched a member of the victim family in the face, and the fight ensued from there.”

The sheriffs' office confirmed that two of the people involved 'were issued a trespass warning which means they are not welcome on the property'.

“If they return, they can be arrested," they warned.

A video of a fight at Disney World has recently gone viral on social media, however, it has not been confirmed by police to be of the incident.

"We have no way of knowing whether what is in the video that has been circulating online is this incident," a spokesperson said.

The clip sees a group of adults brawling as theme park visitors watched and workers called for back up.

A later video then shows authorities handcuffing someone on the ground.

Police did confirm that 'the victim in this case was treated medically on scene'.

The victim chose not to prosecute, which is why, according to the sheriff’s office, nobody was arrested.

According to Walt Disney World's official website, the park's rules prohibit 'using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others'.

Disney World has not yet commented on the incident.

This isn't the first time the most magical place in the world got a bit spicy.

In June 2022, a fight involving more than ten people broke out outside Mickey’s PhilharMagic theatre.

This led to two people being arrested as a result and numerous people found themselves banned from Disney's parks.

The park then issued a statement which warned guests to maintain appropriate conduct during their visits, otherwise they 'may be asked to leave'.

It read: “Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion.

"Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.”

UNILAD has approached Walt Disney World for comment.
