Rapper Smooth B has revealed the premonition Tupac had about his own death.

Conspiracy theories are still circulating over 20 years after the death of one of the world's most influential rappers, Tupac Shakur, with many holding the belief that he did not die at the age of 25 as a result of a drive-by shooting, but is still alive somewhere.

However, as well as the rapper's bodyguard having spoken out about who he's 'sure' killed Tupac in 1996, fellow musician and former friend Darryl O. 'Smooth B' Barnes has opened up about a time when Tupac appeared to predict he would die young.

Recalling how Tupac met his kid and told him how much of a 'great father' he was and how 'lucky' his children were, Smooth B explained to The Art of Dialogue how he told the rapper how much of a good father he would make too.

Smooth B told Tupac: "Maybe you'll make a great father'.

"But he was like, 'Nah, I ain't gonna be no father'.

"I said, 'What you talking about?'

"He said: 'I ain't gonna be around long enough to have kids'."

After asking Tupac 'what [he] was talking about,' the All Eyez On Me performer - who was 'about 23' at the time - said 'I'm telling you I ain't gonna live past 25'.

Despite Smooth B trying to reassure the rapper, thinking that he was just scared about growing old, Tupac said 'with a dead-a** stare': "I've already seen death. I know how I'm gonna go out."

Smooth B reflected: "When that s**t happened, at 25, I was floored, I was f***ing floored."

Despite the rapper's own premonitions surrounding his death, many fans have held out hope that the drive-by shooting did not take his life and that he has lived on, but in hiding.

The last alleged sighting of Tupac took place in 2020, which would have seen Tupac at the age of 48.

No one has ever been charged with Tupac's murder.

Crips gang member Orlando Anderson got into an altercation with the rapper on the night of the homicide and was previously named a suspect, however, Las Vegas police concluded that there was no direct evidence to link the gang member to the crime.

The Crips gang - one of the largest and most violent gang associations in the US - was the focus of documentary Crips and Bloods: Made in America, which seeks to offer an insight into the infamous organisation.
