"I've seen a fair few Trek fans get frustrated with the build for the LEGO Enterprise, so I say these words in kindness not to be patronising," one fan shared on Reddit.
"The builds can be quite a challenge for those who haven't built anything in LEGO since that police station they got when they were eight.
"Download the 3D Build app from LEGO onto an iPad/Tablet if you have one, it's so much better than the books. The ability to rotate and zoom as you build the sections is invaluable. I haven't used a book when a 3D build is available for years. There's a QR code on the books that links to your app store of choice."

"The app is a life saver!" a third said. "My near vision is deteriorating so the ability to zoom in and rotate a piece or an assembly is incredibly valuable. Also the 'build together' option is very fun (if a little mysterious at times). I’m building the Enterprise now with my spouse and our adult child, and it’s taking us roughly two to three hours to get through eight to nine bags."

What are fans saying about the LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise?
As though you needed further convincing, the Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise has received hundreds of rave reviews so far.
"I have been so excited about this set since the earliest rumours in 2024, and even the delay in shipping and delivery did not fully damper the excitement," one five-star review reads.
"I have lots of other sets but this is by far my favourite build and not sure if that's because I love Star Trek, but it was the best nine and half hours (over two days) to complete the build."
"A lot of reviews here seem to miss the insane amount of reference details that are clearly lifted from the actual cutaway designs of the ENTD ship," another shared.
You must order by December 31 to secure the new GWP (LEGO) "There are little Easter Eggs INSIDE the build that at times made me wonder if they consulted Michael Okuda himself. As a ST:TNG fan, I had an absolute blast building this."
A third said, "The eight mini figures make this set value for money for any Trekkie, and the bonus is the Enterprise-D herself. What an absolutely iconic build, created by Trekkies, for Trekkies."
