A woman has revealed how her husband pays her a monthly 'woman tax' twice every month.

Camilla - who goes by @camilla.and.family on TikTok - explained that her husband suggested paying her the 'tax' to compensate for the fact she has a monthly period and went through two tough pregnancies in which she vomited most days, before going on to have two caesarean sections.

Camilla gets over $3,000 a year from her husband, which pays for her manicure and pedicure twice a month.

"My husband pays woman tax," explained Camilla.

"This tax is charged twice a month, and it works out at around £2,500 ($3,042) per year. The tax is to compensate me for the fact I have to have a period every month, had two brutal pregnancies where I vomited most days and then I had two c-sections.

"My husband actually came up with the idea and he pays for my mani and pedi twice a month, it costs roughly £85 ($103) per time. It really does make up for that week of bleeding."

Camilla explained that she also wants to set an example for her kids that they should be 'taken care of' and to 'take care of themselves' adding: "Women have such a hard time, I feel like men got away very easy, so yeah they should be paying woman tax."

In a follow-up clip, Camilla went into further details about exactly what the tax includes, adding that her husband also covers all of the household bills, as well as her car and fuel costs.

"Allow me to break it down for you," said Camilla.

"Since I met this man over 10 years ago, his body has remained pretty much the same. I on the other hand have had to regularly mop up blood... smile, work and look after children while experiencing painful periods, [I've] been sick every day through my pregnancies, my body has endured two c-sections, breastfeeding, mastitis, don't forget smear tests... to put it bluntly, I have gone through so much simply because I am a woman while my husband has remained exactly the same."

Camilla urged other women to 'get a back payment' if their partners are not currently paying woman tax - and heaps of other women in the comments agreed.

One person commented: "Why is this not more normal?"

While another said: "Turning the volume up whilst sitting next to my husband."

And a third added: "This is the first video I’ve seen of your page and I’m hooked."

Meanwhile, a fourth simply wrote: "Make this legal."
