A TikToker and waiter has has slammed 5 percent tips from customers as 'insulting'.
The content creator then launched into his video, saying: "Okay, this is for all you bad tippers out there, if you're a bad tipper, listen up."
Yep, we're well and truly listening.
"Okay, if you don't know how to tip, I get that, but for your information, $10 is not like cute as it used to be - it's not the 1950s, it's not the 2000s anymore. Okay, inflation means that $10 is not worth that much anymore. You can't just leave a $5 or a cute little $10 for your server and think that that's funny, it's not funny or cute."

Hear that guys? It's not cute, so don't stiff a tip in the US.
For the numerically challenged amongst us (me) Ben went on to break it down further, saying: "If your bill was like $50 you can leave $10 that's like 20% that's fine. If your bill was f***ing $200 and you give me $10, that's 5% that's f***ed up, that's a f***ing insult. Don't do that at a f***ing restaurant. If you come back to my restaurant and you give me f***ing 5% or f***ing 10%, I'm gonna say something. I'm gonna be like: 'is there a problem with your service?'."
He then added that he'll start putting 'people on the spot' and that other servers 'should start doing that because like this is f***ed up, we should be doing that'.

Ben then has a tip for anyone not sure how to calculate, well, tips: "if you don't know how to calculate tips. Take the bill, move it one decimal place, that's 10%, double it that's 20%, that's what you should tip."
Some people were completely on board with Ben, with one user saying: "Literally when I get 10% I’m like 'okay perfect, I guess I just won’t eat tonight'."
While another added: "Or when they use the excuse of the food not being good to tip less like sir I didn’t make your damn food I just brought out to you."

Still, others weren't convinced, with one user saying: "I tip when the food is good and the service is above and beyond. You aren’t entitled to a 20% tip, if you don’t like it then get another job."
