Server fiercely calls out customers who played 'self-serving' tipping game with him

The server hit back at people expecting more than just service from him

Most of us have experienced an annoying person whilst working but not many of us have been asked to play a game with them.

For one server, this was exactly the case when customers tried to engage him in a tipping challenge.

Fed up with the annoying restaurant-goers, Quinn Pratt hit back at the customers in question.

The server fired back at the customers for the game.

Pratt first shared details of the story to his 3.1 million followers on TikTok last month.

In the short video, which now has 2.7 million views, Pratt explains what ground his gears on shift at work.

Working as a server, Pratt began the story by telling his followers how he seated a group of people.

The table held a bunch of different social media influencers and content creators.

They had called Pratt over in a hopes to film some content for a tipping game they had created - something Pratt was definitely not fond of.

Setting up a handful of envelopes on the table which contained money ranging between $1 to $300, the customer told Pratt to pick one.

Whichever envelope he opened would be the amount of money he'd receive as a tip.

Pratt called it a 'stupid a**' game.

Aware that he was being filmed by the customer, Pratt simply told him: "I ain’t got time for this bulls***."

Recounting the event, he told the man: "I am super busy. Whatever you leave me as a tip is my tip."

Pratt reminded the customer that the restaurant was actually his 'place of employment' and not an opportunity to film content.

He said: "I don’t give a f***, I’m not here to play a little game with you.

"I am at my place of employment — not here to play some f***ed up little carnival game that you’ve devised and put together in order to get some views and likes on TikTok."

Pratt told the customer that he was not there for 'entertainment' but to work instead and, unsurprisingly, was not given a tip.

The server has since posted a follow-up TikTok video to further explain his reaction to the tipping game, speaking about the 'amount of toxicity' in the comment section of the original video.

Pratt brought up screenshots from comments calling Pratt a 'servant of food' and telling him to 'get out' of the customer service industry.

"See, this is how some people view servers. Like they are their servants," he said.

Pratt went on to address the people who may say that tips are not 'required'.

"You do not get to weaponise a tip and be like 'if you want this money then dance for me monkey,'" he continued.

Sending a message out to anyone who does that, Pratt told them 'go f*** yourself'.

The server concluded by saying customers can do what they want with their own money but he is not 'obligated' to be anyone's 'court jester'.

Reiterating points made in his original video on the matter, Pratt ended with: "Servers are there to provide you a service.

"They are not your f***ing servants."
