Ricky Martin has denied domestic violence and incest allegations reportedly filed by his 21-year-old nephew.

Earlier this month, Martin, 50, was hit with a restraining order after an anonymous report was filed accusing the singer of domestic violence.

According to Spanish news site Marca, the report was filed by Martin's 21-year-old nephew, accusing Martin of domestic violence and incest.

Martin's nephew has alleged that Latin singer 'exercised physical and and psychological attacks' against him.

Marca also reported that the singer's nephew alleged the pair were in a seven-month-long relationship that ended two months ago.

A restraining order was filed in Puerto Rico on 1 July after Martin allegedly loitered near his nephew's house, as he could not accept the separation.

Martin took to Twitter after the restraining order was filed to deny the allegations.

He wrote: "The protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and the dignity that characterize me."

The singer explained he could not discuss the legal matter any further, writing: "Because it is an ongoing legal matter, I cannot make detailed statements at this time. I am grateful for the countless messages of solidarity, and I receive them with all my heart."

Martin's lawyer has since spoke out to deny the 'disgusting' allegations against the singer.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Marty Singer said: "Ricky Martin has, of course, never been - and would never be - involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew.

"The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting."

According to Singer, Martin's nephew is suffering with mental health issues. He continued: "Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges.

"We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs.

"But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts."

The allegations against Martin come with a heavy punishment. Marca reported that incest laws in Puerto Rico carry a 50-year prison sentence.

Martin is expected to return to Puerto Rico on 21 July for his trial.

Despite the allegations, the singer is carrying on with his day to day life as he was spotted on set of Mrs American Pie in Los Angeles on Friday.
