Former Vice President Kamala Harris was allegedly cheered by fans after she skewered the Trump administration with a telling four-word statement amid the American leg of her book tour. The admission comes after she revealed what the president allegedly said to her in a 'private' phone call.
The 60-year-old is currently touring the United States promoting her new political memoir, 107 Days — a book chronicling her failed 2024 presidential campaign that ensued after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race due to a ‘defense of democracy’.
Described by Simon & Schuster CEO Jonathan Karp as one of the bestselling memoirs of the 2020s, 107 Days offers a postmortem of Harris’s unsuccessful run against the Republican ticket, the current sitting US president, Donald Trump.
Promotion for the autobiography has already thrown up some interesting soundbites, including a confession that losing to the father-of-five was ‘as painful as the death of her mother’ and that she believed her political opponent to be a ‘con man’.

Now, the Democrat is going viral for slamming the Trump administration, referring to them as ‘m***erf***ers’.
While speaking at the Day of Unreasonable Conversation summit in Los Angeles on Monday (October 6), Harris said: “We are living history right now, and you all storytellers are living this. You’re not passive observers, you know that.
“You’re living it, and I would ask you that all the emotions that we are feeling — give those emotions, give that experience to those people that you are writing about and writing for. It gets back to my point about helping people just put a label on it, even if it doesn’t change the circumstance.”

She continued to tell the gathered crowd in The Getty Center: “Because there is so much about this moment that is trying to make people feel like they’ve lost their minds, when in fact, these m***erf***ers are crazy!”
It’s reported that fans of the politician began cheering and clapping, causing her to laugh.
“I call this ‘The Freedom Tour,'” she added after the crowd had died down.
The event, co-chaired by (500) Days of Summer actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, screenwriter Greg Berlanti, and Simpson Street producing partners Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone, also saw Harris discussing election night.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the California native explained that she couldn’t ‘articulate anything’ after conceding to Trump.
“I kept saying over and over again, ‘My God, my God.’ I had never felt that level of pain and grief except when my mother died, and I was grieving for the country. I knew what was going to happen,” she confessed.
Harris also used the opportunity to touch on current censorship fears in Hollywood after Jimmy Kimmel’s long-running show was temporarily pulled from the air after he commented on the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“I don’t envy some of the folks who are here, who are in a situation where you are being subtly or maybe not even so subtly being sent signals that now is not the time to speak a certain level of truth with certain level of candor,” she admitted.
“Every person has to make that decision for themselves, right? But there will always be risk associated with speaking truth.”
Harris’ Day of Unreasonable Conversation appearance comes after the stepmom-of-two revealed in 107 Days a surprising comment Trump made to her in private.
The incident took place following the second assassination attempt on the president’s life, for which Ryan Wesley Routh was found guilty on September 23, despite entering a not-guilty plea.

The ex-VP claimed that during a phone call she and Trump had after the September 2024 incident, he promised to be ‘nicer’ to her.
He allegedly said: "How do I say bad things about you now? I'm going to tone it down. I will. You're going to see.”
The businessman is also said to have announced his daughter, Ivanka Trump, as a ‘big fan’ of her.
