Nick Cannon says out of his 12 kids he spends the most time with his eight-month-old daughter

Nick Cannon has 12 kids, but it's eight-month-old Onyx who is getting the most time with her dad just now

Nick Cannon has admitted that out of his army of kids - 12 in total, at the latest count - he probably spends the most time with his eight-month-old daughter Onyx.

Cannon is well known for having a huge family, and seems to be having more and more kids every time you look.

The 42-year-old has 12 kids overall, but recently admitted that it’s his baby girl Onyx who has been grabbing much of his time lately.

That’s because he’s got a nursery for her attached to his office, but also because her mother is happy for him to take the reins more often.

Speaking on an episode of The Jason Lee Podcast aired on May 10, Cannon said that he ‘probably’ spends the most time with Onyx.

The youngster, who Cannon shares with model LaNisha Cole, was born in September last year, and it seems that Cannon is super smitten with his little girl.

He told Jason Lee: "I'm literally going to leave here to make sure that I can spend the most time with her.

"Not against all my other kids because all my other kids, they're in school, they're babies, as well as Onyx, but the fact that I appreciate that LaNisha gives me the respect enough to allow me to have her really, an equal amount of time as she does."

Last year, Cannon’s family spiralled from seven to 12, as he had kids with Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi, radio host and DJ Abby De La Rosa, Alyssa Scott, and Brittany Bell.

At the minute, that means that five of Cannon’s kids are under a year old.

Speaking to Billboard News, Cannon said that all of his children are a ‘number one priority’, but he might be having more in the future, too.

"I wake up being a father thinking about my kids and everything else comes after that," he explained.

Obviously, he does have to have relationships with the kids’ mothers, too.

That can prove tricky, it would seem.

Cannon is kept busy, both on the TV and in his personal life.

Cannon explained how he wanted to give them each a bespoke message for Mother’s Day, but ended up mixing up a couple of the cards.

“If I would have got some generic shit that everybody else got, that wouldn't have happened,” he said.

Well, it’s the thought that counts, after all.

Incidentally, he made that revelation on an episode of The Daily Cannon podcast, with De La Rosa – one of the mothers of his children – in attendance.

Let’s hope she wasn’t one of those who got a mixed-up Mother’s Day message.
