Mike Tyson 'would prefer' if NBA players smoked his cannabis

As the NBA eases its restrictions on cannabis, Mike Tyson has urged players in the league to try his weed products.

Following similar moves in the MLB and NHL, NBA will now allow players to take cannabis after an agreement was reached with the players' union, according to a new report by The Athletic.

Shortly after, the NBA announced a new seven-year collective bargaining agreement, and although that is pending ratification, that process is certainly considered a formality.

According to The Athletic, the new agreement would see marijuana removed from the league's drug testing program, and players that use it will not be punished for doing so.

And if players are looking for someone to get their dose, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has said that he is the person to go to.

Iron Mike runs a cannabis business known as Tyson 2.0, and is certainly a fan of the recreational drug.

Unsurprisingly, Tyson is big fan of the NBA deciding to ditch the cannabis testing on its players, and has told the professionals to come to him for their dose.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, the boxing legend said: "I would prefer [NBA players] to use my product.

"My product is the best product in the world.

"I'm not tooting my own horn - it just is. Look at the write-ups from people that have tried it."

Not only did he self advertise his cannabis business venture, Tyson also spoke about some of his favourite weed he smokes from his collection.

The one that Tyson had a special shout out for, which he smokes regularly on his Hotboxin' podcast, is the uniquely named, Sour Diesel.

"If you want to go down and do some indica, you do some OG Kush. If you wanna stay up and enjoy the world, you do the stuff I always smoke, Sour Diesel. It keeps me thinking," he said.

While it may be a rather new business venture for the former boxer, Tyson for sure knows his cannabis, with his brand now in 12 countries in total.

In fact, Tyson said in an interview last October that he wished he smoked cannabis during his whole career.

Tyson has previously said he wished he smoked earlier on in his life.

Speaking to Yahoo Finance, he said: "My life was just miserable, I was out of control. I was fighting with everybody. If someone asked me for an autograph, I'd punch them in the face.

"I was just a mess, and then after I retired, I started smoking. What a mistake that was - I should have smoked my whole career. I should have smoked when I was fighting because it put me in this different state of mind.

"I'm very relaxed and the more relaxed you are, the better fighter you are at least in my case."
