Joe Rogan Says Canada Has Become A ‘Communist’ Country And Justin Trudeau Is A ‘Dictator’

The podcaster slammed the Canadian Prime Minister over his response to the anti-vaccine trucker protests in Ottawa.

Joe Rogan has called Canada a ‘communist country’ and called Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a ‘dictator’.

The podcaster has never shied away from controversial statements, but this one is fairly intense.

He's attacked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over his response over the anti-vaccine trucker protests.

While speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, the comedian admitted that he initially liked the Canadian leader, but his opinion shifted during his handling of the pandemic.

He said: “Then during the pandemic, I’m like, ‘Oh, you’re a f**king dictator'".

He added: “You don’t like criticism. You’re trying to shut down criticism by saying that all your critics are misogynists and racists. He said that about the truckers.

"He called them all misogynists and racists.”

Al Jazeera reports that the Prime Minister denounced the so-called ‘Freedom Convoy’, who began arriving in Ottawa in January to protest the vaccine mandate that required truckers to be fully vaccinated if they intended to cross the Canadian and US borders.

During a press conference, Trudeau accused the protestors of displaying ‘symbols of hatred and division’, while many spouted their anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, and racist views during demonstrations.

Rogan, who has also been critical of the vaccine, said of Trudeau: “He’s gross. He’s a sketchy guy. He’s got some f**king shaky deals.

"I would like to see where the money is coming from. Why do you want everyone to get injected every four months? We don’t need that anymore.”

He also criticised the country’s policy that Americans had to provide full proof of vaccination upon entering the Canadian border.

He added: “It’s a little old. It’s 2022, not 2019.”

While Joe Rogan believes the pandemic is over, the World Health Organization says it's far from over.

Earlier this year, Rogan came under fire after promoting Covid-19 misinformation as 270 doctors, science teachers, and physicians penned an open letter, demanding Spotify hold the 54-year-old accountable.

The letter reads: "With an estimated 11 million listeners per episode, JRE, which is hosted exclusively on Spotify, is the world's largest podcast and has tremendous influence,

"Spotify has a responsibility to mitigate the spread of misinformation on its platform, though the company presently has no misinformation policy."

Attached to the letter was a thorough fact-check of the information provided on his podcast.

Rogan hit back at the allegations he was being dangerous and said: "Those episodes were labelled as 'dangerous', they had 'dangerous disinformation' in them.

"The problem I have with the term 'misinformation', especially today, is that many of the things that we thought was misinformation, even a short while ago, are now accepted as fact."
