The McDonald’s CEO has named some of his favorite menu items, including his ride-or-die and an underrated sweet treat that may raise some eyebrows.
Last year, Numerator revealed that a jaw-dropping 87 percent of households in the United States had eaten at McDonald’s restaurants at least once in the space of 12 months, as reported by the Irish Star.
When it comes to the fast food chain, everyone from President Donald Trump to Selena Gomez and Paris Hilton has their own favorite menu combos.
But what do people who work there like? Well, a new interview with McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski has revealed all in a new interview.

The 56-year-old, who succeeded Steve Easterbrook as president and CEO in November 2019, posted a 45-second video to his official LinkedIn and Instagram profiles last week titled the McDonald’s ‘Menu Item Tournament’.
The idea was that the businessman would be asked to divulge his food preferences, and eventually a winner would be crowned.
First, he was tasked with deciding whether he preferred an Egg McMuffin from the chain’s breakfast menu or the iconic Big Mac burger.
After initially pledging his allegiance to the Egg McMuffin, the Massachusetts native said he preferred fries over both the McCrispy and the Filet-O-Fish.
When faced with a choice of fries or Chicken McNuggets, he went for the latter.
He then turned down McCrispy Strips for the McNuggets, before swapping his choice over to a soft-serve vanilla ice cream cone.

The vanilla cone sailed to victory for a single round of the 'Menu Item Tournament', with Kempczinski turning down an Apple Pie in favor of the sweet treat.
It was soon usurped by the classic Quarter Pounder with Cheese, which ended up taking second place.
The winner was crowned the humble Snack Wrap - and people seemingly have a lot to say about the CEO’s decision.
“The snack wrap is legit. I had a phase of eating lots of these while traveling,” said one LinkedIn user.

A second agreed: “You had me at QPC - but Snack wrap for the win!”
Someone else replied: “I'm definitely playing this with my sisters. Long live the snack wrap, but I miss the grilled chicken ranch version. Can I get an AMEN.”
However, not everyone is on board with Kempczinski’s decision, with another user commenting: “You lost me at Big Mac.”
Another queried: “WHERE THE MCGRIDDLE AT CHIEF??”
The Snack Wrap had been a US menu staple for a decade when it was suddenly discontinued in 2016.
Due to high customer demand, it finally returned in July 2025. It’s currently available in two different versions, Spicy or Ranch.
