Drake makes staggering $1.15 million bet for this year's Super Bowl

Not everyone is happy about it

Drake has made an eye-watering bet for this year's Super Bowl.

The rapper, 37, took to his social media accounts where she showed off the wager, which revealed a stake worth $1.15 million on the Kansas City Chiefs to win against the San Francisco 49ers.

"I can't bet against the swifties," Drake wrote in the caption.

You've got to be pretty confident to bet that kind of money, right?

But Drake's previous bets haven't ended quite so well, with the rapper losing so many that people are actually calling it the 'Drake curse'.

For example, Drake placed an $850,000 bet for Logan Paul to knock out Dillon Danis back in October, but Paul actually won the fight after Danis was disqualified.

Drake posted the bet online.

He also bet that Jake Paul would win against British boxer Tommy Fury - and placed a huge $1.2 million bet on him doing so by knockout. But Fury emerged as the champion.

Meanwhile, most recently, he placed a $700,00 wager on Sean Strickland winning his middleweight title to Dricus du Plessis - but unfortunately for Drake, he lost.

So yeah, it's not the best track record for the 'Trust Issues' singer.

And people have had plenty to say about the bet, with some even begging him to stop gambling.

One person wrote: "STOP SPORTS BETTING UR SO BAD AT IT."

While another said: "Isn’t he like a jinx to the team he bets on?"

Other Swifties were concerned that his bet would actually work against the Kansas City Chiefs due to the 'curse'.

Taylor Swift has been dating Kansas City player Travis Kelce since September 2023.

It's reported that the singer is currently dashing back from her tour in Tokyo to make Kelce's big game at the Super Bowl.

But Taylor has come under fire recently after it was revealed she took a private jet journey that saw her in flight for a mere 13 minutes.

If the trip was only possible by air then it might be understandable, but the journey has been disputed as covering just 28 miles, with many pointing out that Taylor's trip could have been possible via car.

An X account called 'Taylor Swift Jets (Tracking)', which goes by the handle @SwiftJetNextDay, does exactly what it says on the tin - tracks Taylor's jet mileage.

And recently, the page posted a very short trip as it pointed out details alongside a map screenshot.

The account wrote: "Flew from Cahokia/St Louis, Illinois, US to St Louis, Missouri, US 24 hours ago. Apx. flt. time 13 Mins."

It then followed up with the impact of the trip as it added: "28 mile (24 NM) flight from CPS to SUS. 79 gallons (299 liters). 530 lbs (240 kg) of jet fuel used. $443 cost of fuel. 0.8342 tons of CO2 emissions."
