Bruce Willis' wife left in tears after daughter's sweet attempt to help dad with dementia

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma became emotional as she revealed the touching way their nine-year-old daughter Evelyn is attempting to help her famous dad following his dementia diagnosis.
Willis, 68, publicly disclosed that he had been diagnosed with dementia earlier this year and wife Emma Heming Willis has since been keeping fans updated on his condition via social media.
On the star’s birthday back in March, Emma shared a heartfelt message revealing that she wanted people to see ‘all sides’ of their lives since the diagnosis.

In a new update, Emma shared the incredible way young Evelyn is helping out her dad, which left the proud mom an ‘absolute puddle’.
In the clip, the 44-year-old said: “So I have to tell you this story, and I’m going to try and do it without crying.
“Because when Evelyn told me this story, I was an absolute puddle.
“OK - here we go. So Evelyn says to me the other day, ‘did you know that people with dementia can become severely dehydrated?’
"I said, ‘Oh I didn’t know that - but how do you know that?’”
The youngster then explained to her mum that during some free time in school she looked up facts about the condition - something Emma says is the most ‘loving and compassionate thing you can do’.
She went on: “So I said to her, ‘Evelyn, we will always make sure daddy has a bottle of water in hand. Thank you for letting me know.
"'But that is the most loving and compassionate thing that you can do is to be curious and educate yourself on your dad’s disease.'”
“It really is one of the most loving and compassionate things we can do as caregivers - as friends, as family - is to educate ourselves about our loved one's disease so we can best show up for them and support them in the best way possible.”
Earlier this month, Emma acknowledged that treatments options for those diagnosed with dementia are ‘slim’.
Speaking on Instagram about the documentary film Little Empty Boxes, which follows Max Lugavere’s mom on her own dementia journey, Emma posted: “Max chronicles his mother Kathy’s battle with dementia while he educates himself on everything he can do to help her. His love for his mother is powerful. His motivation to find answers from leading health experts is inspiring and then be so gracious to share that information is a true blessing.
“It would be an absolute disservice if this documentary is not on a screen near us soon. Thank you Max for being so brave and vulnerable to share the journey and spotlighting the importance of brain health.
"When you live the world of dementia you know that options are slim. But some won’t take that lying down which is how change is made and I got to witness the beauty in that last night.”
