Bizarre fight breaks out at Harry Styles concert over a souvenir

Fighting over gig souvenirs is a sign of the times.

Getting a unique memento at the end of a gig is one of the life’s biggest thrills, but sometimes you have to fight for what you believe is rightfully yours.

Two women that went to a recent Harry Styles gig will testify to that, after fighting over a wooden drumstick at the end of his gig at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Styles’ drummer Sarah Jones reportedly chucked her drumstick into the crowd, knowing little about the furore her impromptu action would cause.

What followed was a battle between the two ladies desperate to take home the prized drumstick, in a video that has been shared on TikTok.

You can see one woman clutching the stick with two hands and smiling, while the other holds onto it with one hand claiming she was the first to grasp it.

“I had it in my hand before you did, please, I literally did, come on, I literally had it in my hand before you did,” said the woman who is being known as 'the short pixie hair girl'.

Meanwhile, the other woman in the video is imaginatively described as a 'blue shirt girl', and been identified as Valentina Veseli, who answered the question everyone wanted to know: who kept the drumstick?

The video is only 10 seconds long, but it's been viewed more than 7.6 million times at the time of writing.

Anyway, Valentina answered the question everyone viewing the video was asking and said: “LMAO I’m the girl in the blue. I let the other girl have it.”

Viewers on 'team short pixie hair girl' rejoiced at the outcome, with other TikTok users confirming the woman were seen at the train station holding the drumstick afterwards.

In arguably more significant news, Styles offered his respects to the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the concert.

He said: “Please join me in a round of applause for 70 years of service”, which was greeted by cheers and applause by concertgoers.

Styles has been the subject of many headlines away from his music, with current partner Olivia Wilde being forced to deny that she cheated on her ex Jason Sudeikis with the former One Direction star.

She told Vanity Fair: “The complete horsesh*t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate. Our relationship was over long before I met Harry. Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic."
