The estate of Anne Heche is being sued by the woman who owned the home the actress crashed into.
Heche died aged 53 earlier this year after crashing her car into a Los Angeles house on 5 August, leaving her in a coma with critical injuries for which she was rushed to hospital.

A few days later she was declared brain dead, a condition in California which classifies someone legally dead.
Her family had said they didn't expect her to survive the car crash, with authorities saying they believe that her car hit a kerb and could have been two feet in the air when it impacted the house, and were keeping her on life support to determine whether her organs could be donated.
Nobody else was injured in the crash, with homeowner Lynne Mishele being in the house at the time of the crash as neighbours described her as being 'extremely fortunate' to survive.
However, Heche's estate is now being sued by the homeowner for the damages incurred during the car crash.

According to the Daily Mail, Mishele is suing Heche's estate for at least $2 million and could go for more depending on the total cost of damages.
She has said she has no place to live since the crash and has suffered trauma from the crash, with her attorneys saying she was 'unable to sleep and is battling acute anxiety and depression'.
The worth of Heche's estate is currently a matter of discussion, as she left no will before she died and older son Homer Heche Laffoon believes that it is worth somewhere around $400,000.

Meanwhile, ex James Tupper, father of Heche's younger son Atlas Heche Tupper, has claimed it is worth closer to $2 million.
Mishele had previously spoken out on the crash, saying the news of Heche's death had been 'devastating' and that 'my heart goes out' to her family.
She said: "The news of Anne Heche passing is devastating. Her family and her friends and her children especially really have suffered a great loss and my heart goes out to them.

"This entire situation is tragic and there really are just no words. I’m sending love to everybody involved."
Her attorneys say that she 'remains traumatized by defendants' actions' after receiving counselling, with Heche's car allegedly coming to a halt just a few feet away from Mishele and her pets.
The coroner's report into Heche's death ruled that she had died from inhalation injury and burns suffered from the fire which followed the horrific car crash.
