Alec Baldwin seemed to lose his patience after being confronted by a protestor while he was in a coffee shop in New York City, resulting in him appearing to slap her phone out of her hand.

The protestor repeatedly questioned Alec Baldwin about the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, as well as the ongoing conflict in Palestine.

The actor currently faces manslaughter charges over her death, which happened after a prop gun that he was carrying went off and discharged a live round while filming the film Rust in October 2021.

Baldwin's attorneys, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel, have previously said: "We look forward to our day in court."

However, many people on social media have voiced their frustration at the situation and condemned Baldwin for the death of the cinematographer who was working on the set.

And now, video footage of Baldwin being confronted by a protestor in the New York City coffee shop has gone viral on X.

Baldwin is seen on his phone in a coffee shop while the woman recording asks: "Why did you kill that lady? You killed that one lady and got no jail time."

The actor attempts to ignore the woman while a barista comes over to intervene.

The woman then demands Baldwin to say "Free Palestine" and she’ll leave him alone, all while actor continues to ignore the protester.

He then asks the barista to call the police as he moves towards the exit and gestures for the protestor to leave.

When she doesn’t leave, he seemingly loses his temper and slaps the phone out of her hand, cutting off the video.

The video was shared by 'Crackhead Barney & Friends' account, described as an 'anti-fascist interview show'.

The caption to the X video reads: "White devil Alec Baldwin attacked me. While I was trying to get coffee."

But a community note adds: "The person filming this video was not 'trying to get coffee'. They repeatedly and viciously harassed Alec Baldwin and refused to leave the establishment when asked to by the staff. There is also no evidence they were attacked."

Social media users were ultimately divided with the incident, with many remarking while they aren't fans of Baldwin at all, they believe the protestor behaved inappropriately.

UNILAD has contacted Alec Baldwin's representatives for comment.

Regarding the shooting, Baldwin has insisted on his innocence and in an interview in 2021 with ABC, he said: “I feel that someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me."

More recently, the film’s armorer Hannah Gutierrez was sentenced after being found guilty of manslaughter in the shooting of Hutchins.

The armorer was responsible for ensuring the safety of any weapons on the set of the film and was found to be negligible in her preparation of the gun that killed Hutchins.

Prosecutors in the case have alleged that Gutierrez-Reed loaded a revolver with one live round, as well as dummy rounds.

The sentencing which took place April 15, saw Gutierrez-Reed handed the maximum term of 18 months in prison.
