Snoop Dogg slams the Grammys for snubbing him his entire career

He says he's been nominated 20 times over the years and yet he's never won a single award from them.

Snoop Dogg is not one bit happy with the Grammy Awards.

While he wasn't nominated for any category in this year's glitzy ceremony, he has been nominated more than a dozen times in his career.

The Doggfather would regularly come up on lists about the best rappers and yet he hasn't won a single Grammy.

He shared an image on Instagram showing how some of his colleagues are well decorated with the small golden gramophone trophies.

It showed Jay-Z has 24 Grammys, Kanye West has 24, Kendrick Lamar has won 17 times, Eminem has 15 and Pharrell has been awarded 13 times.

Snoop wrote alongside the picture: "Snoop Dogg. 20 nominations. 0 wins."

It's unclear where the number 20 comes from as the official tally from his Wikipedia page shows he's been nominated 17 times.

The songs he's been nominated for are also some of the most iconic in the genre's history.

We're talking 'Gin and Juice', 'Still D.R.E.', 'The Next Episode' and 'Drop It Like It's Hot'.

And yet, Snoop is still Grammy-less.

HipHopDX reports the 51-year-old leads the pack for legendary artists who have never won a Grammy Award.

Others in the list include, 2Pac, Biggie, Nicki Minaj, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross and Pusha T.

Nas was also in that group until he was able to win his first every Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2021 for his record King's Disease.

But Snoop isn't the only one who is criticising the Grammys at the moment.

Jay-Z has given his opinion on the controversial decision to give Album of the Year award to Harry Styles' Harry's House.

Many thought Beyoncé's Renaissance was going to take out the award, especially considering she's missed out on the coveted gong three times already.

Speaking of this year's Grammy Awards' Album of the Year result, Jay-Z told Tidal: "With Bey, I felt like they missed the moment.

"Not just LEMONADE; [also] when Beck won over her [for Album of the Year at the 2015 show]. I was like, 'Oh, y’all missed it.'

"For the culture, I love this s**t so much I want them to get it right. I want to experience those moments when it’s the culmination of when Michael popped off. That moment left an indelible mark on us forever.

"Or when Lauryn Hill came through and it was Miseducation and she won those joints [five Grammy Awards in 1999].

"We knew that was her moment. We wanted to witness that moment and celebrate her. She made something that’s going to stand the test of time."

Renaissance isn't the only one of Beyoncé's albums to have been nominated for the Grammy's Album of the Year to fall at the final hurdle.

In 2010, Queen B's album I Am...Sasha Fierce lost out to Taylor Swift's Fearless. In 2015, her album Beyoncé lost to Beck's Morning Phase and in 2017, Lemonade was beaten by Adele's 25.
