Singer-songwriter Victoria Canal said she'd 'never thought' she'd 'have to clarify' whether or not she's dating Tom Cruise.
Tabloids have been having a field day after spotting Tom Cruise watching the 25-year-old perform at Glastonbury Festival earlier this year when she took to the stage alongside Coldplay.
And supposed sources later came forward to stir the pot even further as to a possible romance between the two.

Sources told the Sun that Cruise invited Canal onto the set of Mission: Impossible 8 and another said they had become 'inseparable'.
"Tom invited Victoria to watch him film for the whole day and that is just not something he does for his random friends," a 'crew member' said.
Other headlines such as 'Are Victoria Canal and Tom Cruise dating?' alongside 'Tom Cruise's 'mystery woman', also made the rounds.
However, on August 5, Canal took to her Instagram to address the 'bonkers' rumors.
Shockingly, it turns out the pair aren't dating and are simply friends - mad, right?
Canal shared screenshots of several headlines about her and Cruise's 'relationship', alongside the caption: "Guys, this is literally bonkers, but apparently the tabloids think i am dating tom cruise. i’m deceased.
"Let’s just stop this in its tracks - i’m sorry to bum u out but i am not dating the man, albeit a lovely person & artist. lol never thought I would have to clarify that out loud in my life. y’all."
She continued by outing an outlet for their reporting on the speculation, asking them to at least 'use a better picture' if they're going to write about her.
"(Huge perk: first time I’m Spanish-American singer Victoria Canal and not one-armed pianist whose name remains unmentioned!!!! there’s always a win somewhere, thanks Tom)." she added.
The singer-songwriter resolved: "In all seriousness guys, tom has been nothing but a respectful and encouraging person and mentor, much like chris martin, my dad, my music teachers and other wise people that have learned a lot from living. and again, i am friends with all kinds of people who are very different to me. you learn a lot if you're open to life bringing you those teachers.
"Ok lastly gonna take this opportunity to say I’M GOING ON TOUR and have two new slaying songs out so if you’re new here, enjoy xx."
Indeed, Canal's upcoming tour off the back of her latest single release 'California Sober' is set to take place from August 17 to November 15 as per her website, with tickets on-sale now.
