Kali Uchis Sincerely Tour tickets are selling fast, but fans are divided over the singer’s new album.

In case you missed it, the Columbian-American artist is hitting the road to celebrate her fifth studio album Sincerely, which recently dropped on Friday, May 9.

Since releasing her debut EP Por Vida in 2015, Uchis has risen to meteoric success, and took home the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2021, for her 2019 collaboration with Kaytranada, 10%.

An exploration of motherhood and love, the singer’s latest album is her ‘most intimate and vulnerable body of work to date’ and features 14 tracks in total, but has seriously divided fans.

Discussing the album on Reddit, one fan raved, “Kali delivers again. The vibe is much more psychedelic and free-form than I was expecting, with all the songs flowing in and out of each other, the unexpected amount of guitar, and how the overall vibe progresses from hazy and moody in the first half to uplifting and spiritual by the end.”

Another wrote, “It’s so dreamy and lovely! The perfect album for going on a walk at sunset. I’m going to be listening to this one allllll year.”

But some fans are disappointed, as one wrote: “Kali is one of my favorite artists (like legit top five), but I found this project a bit boring. Both her vocal delivery and the production of the songs themselves are a bit repetitive across the album.

“I hope it grows on me with more listens. Maybe if I listen to this when I'm feeling a bit moody and under the weather, it will hit harder…”
