Rapper Ice Spice claims she has been banned from being able to post her real name on Instagram, having shared a screenshot of a post being removed on the platform.
The breakout star rose to fame in late 2022 with drill single ‘Munch (Feelin’ U), which soon began trending on TikTok after being released.
She now has a whopping 6.7 million followers on Instagram, where we regularly shares selfies, clips from music videos and shots from photoshoots.
However, one of her latest posts was removed from the platform – something she says is down to her using her real name.

She posted a picture on her Instagram Stories to show that one of her recent posts had been taken down, with an accompanying message saying: “Your post has been removed. It goes against our Community Guidelines on violence or dangerous organizations. Our guidelines encourage people to express themselves in a way that’s respectful to everyone. If you think we made a mistake, you can ask us to review our decision.”
The screenshot shows the notification was in response to a post that said ‘ayo isis’, a reference to her real name - Isis Naija Gaston.
“Can’t type my name is ode,” she wrote, adding a crying emoji.

In the message, Instagram said it removes: photos or videos of extreme graphic violence; photos or videos that encourage violence or attacks on anyone based on their religious, ethnic or sexual background; and specific threats of physical harm, theft, vandalism or financial harm.

Ice Spice recently hit headlines when an AI simulation of Drake covering ‘Munch’ went viral.

The AI-generated cover, which had been making the rounds on social media, featured the Canadian rapping some verses from Ice Spice's song 'Munch'.
In the clip, a simulation of his voice raps: "B*tches ain't bad, let's keep it a bean.
"Know they be mad that I be on the scene. Ass too fat, can't fit in no jeans, you was my stitch, but it's not what it seams."
Drake didn’t seem best pleased by the artificially-manipulated track, having taken to social media to share his thoughts.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, the 'Rich Flex' rapper shared a headline discussing the recent 'cover', as he wrote: "This is the last straw AI."
This wasn't the first time that the 36-year-old's likeness has been used in a AI cover in recent weeks, as his 'voice' has also been heard rapping Cardi B's 'Wap' and Bryson Tiller's 'Don't'.
One AI video, which saw a generated version of the rapper sing 'OMG' by the K-Pop group NewJeans gained over two million views.
