Seth Rogen is making another movie similar to This is the End with celebs playing themselves

The 2013 film saw the likes of Rihanna and Emma Watson poking fun at themselves, and Rogen has hinted about a similar project being made.

Looks like it’s the end of the world all over again, as Seth Rogen teases a new project which will be similar to This Is The End.

The 2013 comedy saw Rogen and a slew of other celebs, including Rihanna and Emma Watson, play themselves as they try to survive the apocalypse.

Whilst not much is known about the upcoming project, the 40-year-old has promised a ‘tonne of famous people and filmmakers’ in the new production.

Rogen is currently starring in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, an adaption of the popular game franchise that also features Chris Pratt as the moustachioed plumber and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach - the two going head to head against the villainous Bowser, voiced by Jack Black.

He’s not the only Nintendo villain making an appearance, with Rogen playing Donkey Kong in the upcoming film, a role he admittedly wasn't so confident about as he doesn't 'do voices'.

At a recent junket, he told press: “I was very clear, I don't do voices. And if you want me to be in this movie, it's gonna sound like me and that's it. And that was the beginning and end of that conversation. I was like, 'If you want Donkey Kong to sound a lot like me, I'm your guy’.”

Though Rogen might not have felt confident with The Super Mario Bros. Movie, hopefully he will feel more at home with his other project which will be much more adult in tone.

He hinted about the This Is The End-style project and told UNILAD that the production will have numerous celebs 'making fun of themselves'.

“Yes, we have something we're doing right now that we started shooting at the end of the year that actually has a tonne of that kind of stuff. A tonne of like famous people and filmmakers playing themselves and making fun of themselves and us making fun of them,” he excitedly revealed to UNILAD.

He even talked about the process of getting other celebs involved.

Of course, stars have to be in on the joke, as Rogen explained: “And yeah, you know, it's really easy with some people and others need a little more convincing, but in general people are actually excited to make fun of themselves.

"I find if they think it's a funny joke, then they're totally happy to be in on it.”

The Big Mouth star even teased fans with possible guest appearances, as he revealed that he's still kept in touch with several celebs from This Is The End.

“I would text with Emma Watson every now and then. ran I've run into Rihanna, here and there. Yeah, you know, you run into these people,” he said.

Though fans will have to wait to find out who will be in the project, they can catch Rogen in The Super Mario Bros. Movie from 5 April.
