The 2006 movie focused on the longest federal trial in US history.

Vin Diesel is one of the most recognizable actors in Hollywood.

After dazzling audiences with the Fast and Furious franchise, as well as hits like XXX and Guardians of the Galaxy, you would probably be able to spot him from a mile away.

However, people have been well and truly shocked to see him sporting hair in a film from 2006.

The courtroom comedy-drama film that was co-written and directed by Sidney Lumet sees Diesel star as real-life Mafia soldier Jackie DiNorscio.

Set in the 1980s, DiNorscio and nearly 20 of his associates had been in prison for more than a year for their federal racketeering trial to begin.

Diesel's character decides to fire his lawyer and represent himself.

While it was a dodgy decision, it ends up playing well for DiNorscio's associates as they're found not guilty on all charges.

It ended up being the longest federal trial in US history.

As part of the character, Diesel had to wear a wig to portray Jackie DiNorscio and images of the film have gone viral on social media as people can't wrap their heads around the actor with hair.

One user said: "Before he found out you don't need hair when you got family."

Another added: "Yooo this ain't real bruv."

A third wrote: "Almost unrecognisable."

Find Me Guilty holds a 63 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The critical consensus states: "Find Me Guilty's excessive length and heavy-handed narrative keep it from reaching its full potential, but Vin Diesel's performance is well worth watching."

Most critics say Diesel was an absolute standout in the film.

Christy Lemire gave this assessment: "If you didn't know you were watching Vin Diesel in Find Me Guilty, you wouldn't know you were watching Vin Diesel. And that's a compliment."

But this isn't the first time Diesel has been given hair for a film role.

He was very briefly seen with hair on his noggin for 2004's The Chronicles of Riddick and he also had a pretty epic 'do for The Last Witch Hunter .

Who knows whether he will take on roles in the future where he has a gorgeous mane or if he'll just stick to the bald look.
