Netflix subscribers are all demanding the same thing after a new season was announced for a much-loved action thriller.

The series in question follows low-level FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who works in the basement of the White House waiting for the call that will change his career.

I am, of course, talking about The Night Agent, as its second season looks set to release on Netflix later this year.

The first season of the show dropped on the streaming platform last year and fans of the series will be delighted to see its return.

Fans of the first season can now look forward to seeing familiar faces Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan return to their screens, alongside some new faces.

That is because for The Night Agent season two, the likes of Brittany Snow and Teddy Sears will be joining the cast.

In a statement at the time of the season two renewal, creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan said: "To see the tremendous reaction to the show has been a great joy and is a credit to our cast, our writers, our directors, our crew and our partners at Sony Pictures Television and Netflix.

"We couldn’t be any prouder or more excited to get cracking on Season 2 to share the further adventures of Night Action with our newfound fans."

"Shawn Ryan has created a spy thriller sensation that viewers cannot get enough of, with a stellar cast featuring Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, and Hong Chau, and we’re here to bring them more of the action and suspense they love."
