Crime drama fans should take note of a series that has got people praising it as an underrated gem.

Netflix is full of films and shows that slip under the radar.

I mean, who has the time to get through absolutely everything they want to watch, it is hard enough deciding what to pick to watch in the first place.

That being said, crime drama fans in the Facebook Netflix Bangers group have been singing the praises of this Portuguese show that concluded this year.

Inviting other members of the group to grab their popcorn and settle in for a three season binge, one user said it was ‘one of the best series [they had] watched in a long time.’

Adding a summary they said: “While hunting for a dating-site predator, an underused cop discovers a husband and wife with a horrific secret — and a web of conspiracy hiding it”

“And for those who asked if it is dubbed, yes it is, but it’s not distracting at all.”

Many users remarked that they loved the first season and have been compelling their friends to hop on the hype train as well.

“I love it. I watched season 1 a while ago when it first came out on Netflix. When Season 2 came out I watched 5 mins of it and didn't remember anything, so I rewatched Season 1, glad I did. So worth watching,” one user said of the series.

“I watched this over two weeks… I was addicted. It can be very triggering to anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse. I recommended it to my therapist,” another added.

“Yes it’s dubbed and no it was not distracting. I recommend if you don’t have complex trauma / PTSD or been a victim of SA.”

“I watched it in the original language in India with subtitles, s3 has been released too. It is pretty addictive and disturbing,” a third wrote.

The show maintains an average audience score of 69 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Despite the praise from some members of the Facebook group, others said they grew more unsatisfied as the show went on. Some went as far to claim that its third season was its weakest by far and became ‘strange’.

That being said, the show still ranks fairly high on Rotten Tomatoes and maintains an average audience score of 69 percent.

So it might be a show worth giving a look yourself to see if it lives up to your crime drama expectations.
